I just listed a high end handbag on ebay. I clearly state in the auction that it is authentic, comes with its dust bag, and took 8 pictures of the bag to show all the authentic details. I also stated in the auction that all sales are final and payment is due within 48 hours.
So the winning bidder emails me and says this
"Hi, I am against fakes and I dont ever pay until I can verify with the brand that your bag is real. I wont be paying until after I hear back from there corporate headquarters. This usually takes about 3 weeks according to them. Also, if it is fake I will report you. Thanks"
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so pissed off right now I want to leave this B*tch negative feedback. If She questioned it she shouldnt have bidded and she should have asked a quesiton BEFORE she won the action.
SO what do I do? I have perfect feedback and now i know this is going to somehow get ugly.
I would let her know that if payment isn't received within 48 hours that you will be leaving her negative feedback, relisting the bag, and reporting her to eBay (two can play that game!). I would also let her know that she should have voiced her concerns to you BEFORE she bid on the bag...
I swear, some people just need to be slapped.

I agree with this. You could always just sell it to the next highest bidder (second chance offer).
Also, I'd look up ebays policy regarding this and copy it in your correspondence.
yeah people like the need to jump off a cliff...........figure out all that authenticy stuff before you buy!
also I know of NO designer or company that will authenticate in writing........its a legal battle they'd rather not get into- also they won't authenticate from pics........ what an ass.
That sucks, she should have figured stuff out before bidding.
I don't want to start anything, but I was on tPF right after I read your post, and I saw the post linked below...is she your buyer? Maybe you guys can work something out....
Contact the Trust & Safety deparmtment on Ebay, also if you click on EbayLive Help , they can direct you to the right direction. She is definetely (sp.?) abusing the system.
