I won something on 11/8 and never received an invoice or anything from the seller (who had 98.4% positive feedback). I figured that it wasn't a big deal because it's happened before... I paid immediately through Paypal so maybe he thought I didn't need an invoice. Eight days later with no contact and no item, I go to contact him through eBay and see that he is no longer a registered user. I find out that this may mean that he got suspended from eBay or that he cancelled his account. I contact him anyway, incase my message gets sent to his email. How long do I wait for him to respond or to get my package until I file a dispute with Paypal? I've never had to do this... I'm not sure how it works. TIA for any help or info!
Thanks, D... as I was trying to file a dispute, I got a new email notification and it was rom the seller. He started the message off as "Dear Sir," which concerns me a little (my name is not usually mistaken for a man's name), and told me that he shipped the item out on 11/10. I'm a little skeptical. I know that I should allow more time for shipping because of the holiday, but how long... until the first of the month?
i wouldn't be concerned with the 'sir' bit. he might've sold a whole bunch of items, and was just beginning his correspondences with the same salutation.
do you know what method he used to ship (USPS priority/first class/UPS)? i'd wait a couple more business days beyond the estimated times that USPS/UPS provides. then i'd file a complaint on his ass :)
