Quoting from a post
Permalink Closed

How do I quote just part of a post?  Earlier I wanted to post just a sentence or two of someone's response... just the part that was relevant to what I agreed with, and I couldn't figure it out.  The whole long post kept showing up, and that's not what I want.  What am I doing wrong?

usually I quote the whole thing and then go into the area where the quote is and highlight and delete the parts I don't want.

That's what I've done before, but I figured there might be an easier way.

oh.  yeah i know what you mean.  i haven't figured anything out yet.  except maybe using the html tags and copy pasting exactly what you want but that I think would suck more.
