I'm definitely doing a deep purple, but I'm not sure what other color(s) to use.  I think I might use silver for accents, but not as a main color.


Any ideas?  We're planning on having the wedding next Sept/Oct.

teal with purple would be gorg for a fall-ish wedding.


i also like yellow with purple.

teal and purple were basically the colors for my wedding last september - i think the combination is really beautiful. here's the bridesmaid dress with the bouquet -

the florist used this gorgeous teal hydrangea in the bouquets and centerpieces, which i was in loved. it was so lush and pretty and is in peak season at mid-september. dahlias are also in season at that time and they come in lots of pretty deep colors.


early in my planning i had wanted to pair deep purple bridesmaid dresses with bright green/chartreuse flowers - i loved the color combination but it ended up feeling too modern for the style of my wedding location. this bouquet was what originally had me thinking of that color scheme -



i've seen fall weddings with deep purple as the main color and accent colors in oranges and reds - more fall colors. it also looks really pretty.

I like the idea of using darker blues and teal with purple, its different and very pretty.  I love your pictures Smash.


We haven't chosen a location yet, so hopefully that will influence my final decision!
