My favorite is one I have been using for months now (since Gwen Stephani's "What you waiting for" video came out with her dark nails) I believe is Maybelline (I will check when I get home) its a dark dark brown mahogany color, almost black but a little more special. EAT: its Maybelline Express Finish in Vintage Burgundy. But its not really burgundy at all, its a true dark brown.

Okay, I'm running to CVS now! I've been looking for a good, dark brown polish! I've become obsessive about it.
i love rimmel's "razz" -- it's a not as dark as some of the other colors, but a really nice cool (as in blue undertones as opposed to red undertones) dark purple-y burgandy.
I'm so excited! I just got a bottle of Chanel's Black Satin. I was in the mall at Macy's, and just decided to stop by the Chanel counter. I couldn't believe they had gotten a new shipment in. Hopefully it will be worth every penny of the $19 it cost!

I bought a Cover Girl vampy polish at Walgreens. It's called Midnight Magic, and I've had SO many compliments on it. It's kind of a black with a purpleness to it in the light. It's gorgeous! plus, I'm going on a week and a half with no chips (on my toes)!

Hey, I went to Walmart looking for the Maybelline one and couldn't find it, but I did find this in Chocolate Nut and it is a beautiful dark chocolate brown polish. It did take two coats, but I always use two coats anyway. Just wanted to share in case you didn't find the Maybeline one either.
(obviously not the color pictured, just the brand and type)
Thanks FP! I had my mom look everywhere for the Maybelline nail polish and she couldn't find it anywhere. I'll have to try that one.

I bought this last night, I love it!! its looks navy blue on me. SO pretty!!
I know I'm a little late on this thread, but this thread inspired me to run out to the drugstore and get dark polish. I didn't know if I could stomach black, so I picked as dark as I thought I wanted to go. I've been back two times since, buying increasingly dark polishes because it's like I can't get dark enough! I think I'm going to be rocking this 24/7 this fall and winter

I know! First, I bought one bottle of vampy nail polish, and I've been back to the stores a few times since to buy more. I'm obsessed! Hopefully this trend will be around for a while.

I bought Orly's "Naughty" yesterday and LOVE IT!! It's a deep, deep burgandy that looks black, but up close you can tell it has red in it. I bought the Midnight Magic by Cover girl, but I didn't like it on me. The red tone I think is more flattering.
