So, we're in the home stretch now ! Trying really hard not to panic about all the little things that need to be done still, the big things that need to be done still, or that everyone wants their money all at the same damn time.
My OMG still To Do list, for posterity: - Prepare for overnight wedding guests - Find basket for wedding programs - Find pens for thank yous - Find and buy gifts for family/wedding party/officiant/helpers - Organize rehearsal dinner - Choose ushers - Hunt down last of guests who haven't yet replied - Create seating chart - Write place cards - Engagement picture session - Buy new makeup - Create bridal emergency kit - Create 'What to Bring' list for the day-of - Write and send all final payment checks - Track down a wedding gift that was sent to our old place as we were moving to our new place - Bed bath & beyond doesn't know where it is, the apartments don't know where it is, UPS doesn't know where it is ....
I want to run away and join the circus because thinking about this list makes me want to throw up.
Is anyone else getting close-ish? How are your plans coming?

You beat me to this post. I am so far behind I just keep yelling "VEGAS!" to my fiance.
*we can't find a site for the ceremony/reception. I have exactly what I want in my mind, and nothing is coming close:( *I haven't even tried on one wedding dress *I can't even decide on colors(I have it narrowed down to 4 color combos) *We never sent out engagement announcements and now I feel it is too late *FMIL has been asking for 2 months for our picture so she can post an announcement in her local paper
For an excuse, we just recently moved to a tiny town for my fiance's job and I'm getting ready to launch my business full-time. I'm a bit stressed.
Alright, deeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath, Elle! Everything will get done. Is there anything on that list that you can delegate to FH? I'm thinking stuff like preparing for the overnight guests, buying a basket, buying pens, and writing checks can all be easily delegated if you make a list and make it specific.
Cute story--my friend who just got married in Jamaica was feeling really overwhelmed as their departure date got closer and closer. She finally just gave a list to her fiance that included: returing some makeup and buying the right makeup, buying her girdle, and getting her engagement ring polished. She told him exactly how to do everything, what makeup she wanted and the colors she needed, the size and specifications of the girdle (no ribbing around it because it would show through the dress), and then sent him on his way to Nordstrom where she knew the sales people were knowledgeable enough to help him out. He got everything done, saved her a ton of time, and earned major brownie points in her book (and mine too--I'm impressed!) So anyway, moral of the story: ask for help, be specific, and he can pitch in.
