i bought a bare minerals eyeshadow on ebay, and the description says that it is a 5gram jar holding 1gram, .03oz of the bare minerals shadow.  so i get the shadow in the mail and it is in a little jar the size of a quarter.  my bare minerals foundation is 2grams and is very obviously a lot more than what is in this jar and i have been using it for a month.  i sent the seller a message and asked if i mistakenly bought a sample size, and she said no, that it should last me a long time and if i have any questions, to email her.  i feel like it shouldn't matter that it will last me, i don't feel like i got what i bid on.  what should i do?

and just to show how much of a difference there is from what was described, i am willing to leave a negative feedback, and i never have before.

Well, did it say it was going to be in a Bare Mineral's jar? Because, from what you just posted it didn't specify that..it just said it would be 1 gram in 5 gram jar.

Oops..think I might be confused by your post. Are you upset about the package it came in or the amount? or both?

the fact that it came in a clear jar, was not a big deal, but that it came in a tiny little jar that is very obviously not a 5gram jar, and the ammount inside doesn't appear to be 1gram.  this is the exact description.

BARE MINERALS BLUEBERRY GLIMMER SHADOW EYE LINER

"This listing is for a full 5 gram jar of Blueberry glimmer mineral makeup.  This can be used as a eyeshadow or liner.  All of my mineral makeup is new, never used or tested. My products contain only pure and natural minerals that are actually good for your skin. Mineral makeup contains a natural sunscreen. A 5 gram jar holds approximately 1 gram or .03 ounces net weight.  Email me if you have any questions.  All of my items come from a smoke and pet free home."

I would try to measure out the weight of the product you purchased if you had a scale (maybe a food scale) and then go from there.  If its not 1 gram of product then I'd proceed with your complaint.

Yeah, I agree with this.

ok, i sent the seller a message stating my concerns as nice as possible.  i tried not to be accusing.  so i will see what she says, and i will see if i can find a way to weigh it.  but i just have a feeling this will come out badly.

ok, this sittuation ended up getting worse and worse and out of control.  i had to leave her negative feedback.  i feel terrible about it, but i sent her the message stating where i was having an issue, and she emailed me back saying that she described the item exactly how it was and that she would be willing to figure out a way to work this out.  so i thought great.  well i figured i took the description the wrong way and decided to ask her if she meant that the jar weighed 5 grams, or it held 5 grams and if 1 gram of mineral eyeshadow had less density than a foundation.  that would explain why it looks like so much less than one gram.  she emailed me back again that it was just as described and that if i didn't understand the description, than i shouldn't have bid on the item.  i then sent her another message that i just asked to make sure i misunderstood the description before i went anyfurther with the return because if it was my mistake, than i wouldn't bother her anymore and i would leave it alone.  she then quoted the description back to me and said "why is it that all of my other customers can understand this but you can't?"  i was so furious, i sent her another message saying that all she had to do was answer my question straight up and give me a little clarity on where i went wrong and that i was not accusing her of anything.  she then called me rude and said that if she hadn't allready left my feedback, she would leave me a negative.

was i wrong in leaving her a negative?  i don't feel like i was, but i was very pissed when i left it, my judgement could have been clouded.

On my Bare Minerals eye shadow (the container is more of the size of a 50 cent piece) it says .02 oz/.57g.  That is a LOT of eye shadow.  So if yours is 1 gram/ .03 oz you should have a lot more than mine has which is more than enough!

Is this a product the seller makes themselves?  Maybe they don't know how to weigh.  Anyways, if they are that rude they deserve the neg.
