Are these place legit or are they a waste of money? I need cash fast (for London) and I have a bag of stuff that could be sold just sitting in my closet. I don't know how to use a digi cam, load pics on my computer etc. and I don't want to deal with paypal, shipping etc. So do you think this could be a good option for me? Anyone know what kind of cut they take? Thanks
I haven't don eit personally but just thinking of what it costs to list on ebay, then of course they need to nake a profit you'd be throwing money out the window.See if you can find a friend to help you.Listing it yourself will probably be the most profitable. Sorry I knwo that's not what you wanted to hear.
i just sold my computer thru one b/c i really didn't want to deal with shipping it myself. here's the deal. the place i went to was ISoldIt which i think is the biggest chain of the ebay stores. they won't sell anything that they estimate will go for less than $50. it took them a week to list my item, but they did a good job and emailed me the link to the auction, etc. but here is the part that i find really lame: you don't get a check from them for approx. 6 weeks after your item sells! i guess they want to make sure that the item isn't returned, etc. oh, and they take about a 40% cut (but this varies depending on how much your item sells for.)
so in short... if you need fast cash... this is prob. not the way to go.
If you aren't going to sell it yourself, you may as well give it to charity. Ebay and Paypal fees are tremendous, I couldn't imagine giving the rest of it away to a listing service!
Well, the whole point was to get money for London so I won't be giving them away! It's coach shoes and Luella boots among other things so I want some kind of money for them. Anyhow, I may just sell them to a thrift store. Any money I make is better than having them sit in my closet. Thanks for the info Mara and Carmen!
