Hi everyone :) I received a spoof PayPal email (confirmed by the REAL PayPal website) and would like to pass it onto you girls in case you get one also. It looks SO authentic, but I did not purchase anything in that amount. Which is what almost had me clicking on the unautherized link at the bottom of the page. The only thing that stopped me was the unconfirmed address of the payee. Whew!

I haven't gotten this specific e-mail, but I get these ebay/paypal/bank scam e-mails nearly everyday. I always know they are fake since they ask you to click the link in the e-mail.
I no longer even click links from my ebay won auctions e-mail to pay for the item (just in case). I always go directly to the website then sign in.
I got this same type of PayPal e-mail confirming payment. Mine was only for about $40 but I knew I hadn't bought anything in that amount so I just ignored it. Thanks for following-up and confirming that it is, in fact, a spoof.
