re-selling something

So, I got this dress that was listed as being by Marc Jacobs. It doesn't fit me super well and I'm considering re-selling it. The original seller was in China and I don't really know if this is actually a Marc Jacobs dress, although it looks like one and has the label and price tag. Should I just list it as Marc Jacobs, or say something like "sold to me as Marc Jacobs"? I don't want to deceive anyone, or get bad feedback for selling fakes (if it is indeed fake). TIA!

I would be completely honest & put in the auction exactly what you just told us. That you purchased it off ebay, it was sold as MJ but doesn't have tags (does it have a tag btw?), how the quality is, that it is just like the Marc Jacobs dress, you really like it but it doesn't fit you right, etc etc. I think some other people said that they would buy it for the look & not the brand - to be honest I would as well - so I think it will sell pretty well. Then at least you are being straight up about it. IMHO.

Thanks, laken! It does have an MJ label inside and a MJ price tag. That's what I'll do then.
