Another annoying ebay situation
Permalink Closed

So this girl (w/perfect feedback) won an item from me, and has been giving me excuses about paying- finally she said she sent a money order and said I should get it within a day since she's in the same state as me.

So, a week after she claimed to have sent it (and an entire MONTH after the auction ended), I still haven't received it. I told her I was relisting the item and would return her money order if it ever showed up.

She wrote me back: "Fine, I am going to file fraud with the post office because I mailed you the money order. I sent 20 that day and you are the only one who claimed they didn't get it."

Do I have anything to be worried about??? I hate being threatened. Ugh, so sick of ebay. Never. Again.

Ugh this is why I've never bothered to list anything on ebay.  I don't think I ever will.  She should have gotten a receipt that she sent the money order to you.  So either ask her to cough that up or make her deal with the post office and file a nonpaying bidder claim on ebay.  Thank god she didn't pay with paypal. Who knows what you'd have to do for her then.

She sent 20 money orders in one day? Wow maybe she just sent it to the wrong address.  I dont think you have anything to worry about. I think shes just saying that to scare you maybe she thinks your already cashed the money order and are now saying you didnt receive it.  Just file your non paying bidder and move on.  If she really did send it she needs to take it up with the post office.

Well, then!  Humph!  Someone's a little rightious, huh?  (her, not you)

Just go about putting in your non-paying bidder notice and relisting the item.  If she did indeed mail the money order and it never got to you, it isn't your problem, but hers.  She will be able to get her refund from whoever sold her the money order as long as it wasn't cashed.  But unless she sent it trackable method and it shows it was delivered, then she is up the creek with the fraud thing.  Just ignore her silly little threats and do what you need to do to move on.

Sheesh, I'm sorry you have to go through all this crap to make a couple bucks.  I'm so scared to sell on Ebay ever again because of all this mess that happens all the time.
