I am thinking of adding a fun specialty cocktail to our bar menu. I would love some fun ideas.

It can be anything bridal, preppy, with my new last name that starts with a P, something not too beachy but we did go with a palm tree theme a bit, so any fun ideas are welcome!

Cosmopolitans!  They're pink, don'yaknow !  They could put a little curl of lime on the edge of each glass, even!

I was actually looking for something less mainstream, you know how you always see things like Wedded Bliss, or Blushing Bride. I would love something that is fun for just us. We can put whatever ingredients we want in it and call it something fun.

"Perfect Pair"

Pear Liqueur, Vodka or Pear Liqueur, Sprite

"Peachy Keen"

These ingredients are actually for a cocktail called Georgia Peach, so it hits home

Peach schnapps, Orange juice, Cranberry juice

That's all I could think of for now. I'll add more if I can think of anything else! HTH!

Oh great ideas! Something peachy might be cute since we are from GA, but maybe something for SC since that is where we choose to get married? Any ideas there? Palmetto Something?

Hmm my creative juicies are limited tonight. The only thing I can think of is "Palmetto Punch" and make a cocktail that is green, and has malibu in it, since coconuts are usually in palm trees. Or are palmettos different than palm trees?

Um here's another one, "Pinking of You", and the obviously the cocktail can be pink, and I like the idea of putting the twirly piece of lime in it, then it's your colors!

Sorry I can't think of anything better!

ETA: "Pure Paradise" - something pink and tropical!

i learned this one in a mixology class i took at the institute of culinary education in nyc: it's called the strappy sandal (i have to give credit for this recipe to michael cecconi -- he taught the class and this is his creation).

1 1/2 oz vodka
1 oz lemon juice (fresh squeezed)
1 oz Pimm's
3/4 oz simple syrup
6 raspberries

shake it all together with ice (the raspberries get crushed in the shaking) and strain into a cocktail glass. garnish with 3 raspberries on a skewer and a lemon twist (i usually skip the twist).

i don't think there's any connection to south carolina with this drink, but it is so delicous and a beautiful pink color. i made it for my friend's bridal shower, and we made non-alcoholic versions also substituting seltzer for the alcohol. we used fresh raspberries for the first round, and when the fresh started getting low we went to frozen, and the frozen ones worked just as well (then we just used the fresh for garnish).
