ok, i picked out the brides maids dresses. they are vera wang and i love them. they are more red in person, i know this pic makes them look kind of pink.
my sister and i tried on the bm dresses and the fit was a little small. i am usually a solid 7or 6, how ever the sizes are numbered, in jeans and a full 34 c and i had to go up to an 8. my sister had to go up a size as well. she is also not all that fit and she isn't really big, but she is lumpy and the dress was still flattering on her. the fabric did well to camoflauge her lumps instead of highliting them. she looked a lot slimmer in it, and it really is amazing in person.
the price was a little lower than i was thinking as well. very reasonable. on sale at bloomingdales for $459. i grabbed the last 3 in the store and the other 3 online and will probably have to get 3 of them altered a little bit.
The actual bridesmaid dress collection usually runs from $200-$300. I think that is a regular Vera Wang dress. I have worn a Vera Wang Bridesmaid dress in a wedding and I loved it. It was the only bridesmaid dress collection that seemed to be true to size. I had ordered the same size that I wear in regular dresses, rather than the usual going up a few sizes. The dress was made very well and the colors were all very pretty. The only thing that we didn't realize was that the fabric of the dress ended up a little shiny in pics, but still overall very flattering!
my bm's suggested it to me. i would never have picked it my self with the price being what it was. but they all loved it when they saw the pic on line so i scouted them out. so id didn't really ask them to pay that much.
and it is a dress, one piece, and no it isn't a bridesmaids dress. it is from the lavender line.
