Ok, so I work in a business-casual office, and I was showing a friend of mine this cute cami' I liked, we discussed it, I said it would be cute peeking out from a suit, and she said she didn't think lace belonged at the workplace. I have TONS of camis I've worn here, NOT by themselves, I don't think spagetti straps should/can be worn here, so.....
What do you think? Now she has me thinking all crazy......

I think it depends on the workplace, more acceptable in a more creative environment, for example.
At my office, which is pretty casual, I'm comfortable with a little lace peaking out if I'm wearing, say, a v neck sweater. However, I'm very careful that the lace doesn't have a lingerie vibe to it at all.
I think if it's done tastefully, it's not a problem. I don't think you'd want to wear a lace shirt your bra totally visible. I think a little lace peeking out from a v-neck, at the bottom of a shirt, or under a jacket is totally fine.

i work in a creative field and this is how i wear it.
I work in a creative business casual office and most of my co-workers are very fashionable. There's always a little bit of lace peeking out the hem of a shirt or at the top of a v-neck int he most tasteful way.
