can you guys post pictures of your wedding cakes ?  or of cakes you like?


i'm not really sure what i want i would love to see some of your choices; i may steal your ideas of course..

Tell us more than about your colors and theme. Also some people don't like fondant, but it works really well to make cool designs and more, so you might want to think about that too.

here's my cake:



i just couldn't have an occasion without a chocolate/chocolate cake, it's what i always have for my birthday, so it just made sense.  it also went with my brown/pink/ivory color scheme.

My husband and I really like chocolate and I'm not traditional, so we ordered these milk chocolate and white chocolate cakes from Vosges in New York and had them shipped to our wedding site (we live in NYC, but got married in Maryland).  We bought wooden boxes from ikea and stacked them and put the little cakes on top with some flowers.   The cakes serve about 4 people each and I loved them!!  Here is a picture.

Here's some pictures of my wedding cake. It was a hexagon with little votives on the tiers. It was sooo pretty at night when the candles were lit!

jess, i can see them when i right click on "view images"

I LOVE all of the cakes posted- glad i don't have to make that decision. I love the idea of cupcakes.

A friend of mine had a Krispy Kreme donut cake like this but it didn't have all that ribbon on it.

omg maat the first one is too adorable.  i love it.  this is kind of what i am looking at right now.  but i want it all in red and black and white and black heart roses on it instead of the candy flowers.  and i have decided to have a second cake to serve this one will be mostly decorative and we will cut it, but i want it out for the whole wedding. 


 




or maybe this one but i think this one might be a little much.  what do you think?

We had a donut cake! It was one of my favorite parts of our wedding, because it was very personal to us (the whole theme of our wedding was "our favorite things"). We ordered some sheet cakes, too, for the traditionalists, but the donuts were a huge hit. I think my mom thought it was sort of tacky, but I loved it! This was our cake:
