The past week I had some things up on ebay. Yesterday my auctions ended and the bulk of scam e-mails from "ebay" and "paypal" were quite ridiculous! I had at least 10-15 fake emails! One of them even had the part where it says never to click on a link from an e-mail, but just below it "Click Here to update account"!
Today I get one when my auctions were over. It was a question asking if I take postal money orders. Yeah dummy, it says so in my TOS. Then it had the link to click to respond which Ebay does have. But I thought better of it since my auctions were already over and checked my messeges through ebay and I had none! That was a pretty good one, and I would have fallen for it if I didn't have 10 other scam e-mails. For now on, I will only respond to messages through My Ebay.
Ive had alot of fake emails from ebay, and i haven't bought anything from there for a while, they keep saying my account is being suspended.. so i forward it to spoof@ebay.com. And then they investigate it, and usually 20 minutes later send back an email confirming that it was a scam email. I think you should start doing this, so maybe it will help eliminate this problem.
