I would really like to sew a knock of it and I already have the fabric. However, I will be 43 in August. Do you think it is too young for me? I don't want to be a fashion victim, but at the same time I don't want to miss out on wearing a cute dress I could make.

I don't think age has as much to do with it compared to the style. If you are used to wearing ladylike, kinda vintagey, slightly quirky clothing in brighter colors, then I would go for it. At the end of the day, regardless of fabric print, it's a sleeveless v-neck bodice and a full skirt--two things not connected with age. Also - see my PM.
Thank you. I am happy to hear this. I have my own quirky style and people have come to expect different. One Sunday at church our youth pastor's wife bragged on my outfit and said, " you are the only person I know who could pull this off. I wish I could." I really didn' t see anything that strange about it and it was definitely not inappropriate. I think it was because I had on mustard color tights and high heeled oxfords. Anyway, I will get to sewing.

I actually like how your styling sounds, I adore Zooye Deschanel (please pardon my spelling) & her style, but didn't like this dress paired with black opaque tights. Have fun with yours!
