Went to DSW with a friend and since I rarely get to DSW stores (they're all in the suburbs, I'm in the city...) I did my best to clean up so it seems...haha. I got both these shoes for $56 but I may have been blinded by those durned yellow 80% off stickers.
These are Miu Miu. I normally don't like Miu Miu and Prada much but both the friends I was with assured me that this pair was kick-a$$. They were $29.95. The shoes are patent leather and the sole and heel is white rubber. They are super-comfy for the height but are they ugly?
Here's a pic of me wearing them and a runway pic of a very similar pair.
These are by Ramon Tenza. They were $23.95. That silver embellishment is indeed an octopus. Please excuse the un-manicured feet.
Thoughts? Should I keep either pair? Return both? Keep both?
I kinda like the octopus ones but I'm not a fan of the Miu Miu ones. I would ebay them and if that doesn't work too well then I'd return them but I bet you could make at least $50 by ebaying them.
I would be hard pressed to return the octopus shoes, they are really cute and unique. I am not a fan of the Mui Mui's and would return them. But they are both great deals anyway.

I like the octopus ones definitely. They're very you. As for the Miu Miu ones, they seem alright, but I'll bet they'll look better without the tights. For some reason the tights just don't seem right with them. Can you post a pic of the shoes without the tights?
If you're not loving them, then I'd definitely eBay them. I'm sure someone would pick them up for $50.
I don't like the octopus ones (plus they look like they are a size too big?), even at that price. I like the Miu Miu ones though - they very much say "Lilykind" to me (and I, too, am not often a fan of Prada or Miu Miu). My only concern about a white rubber heel is that I think it would take dirt and marks really easily, and I don't know how "cleanable" rubber is...I'd ask a shoe repair place before you decide to keep them.

i definately dont like the pink ones, but i really like the green ones. i think if you wore them without the tights they would look better, like the model in the picture you posted. they look hot!
i like the miu miu ones. the pink ones seem too south beach for me. my vote is keep the miu miu ones if you're going to keep a pair, but think long and hard about what you'll wear with them because even $30 is too much if you're not going to wear them..

The Miu Mius are probably a half-size too big lengthwise. They are prefect as far as the width goes. However, they're too big and $30 is $30. Too bad because I was growing pretty fond of them. I'm returning those.
The Ramon Tenzas are a much tougher call. The shoe is VERY-well crafted...they are about the same qualitywise as my Eugenia Kim shoes and the pink is not nearly as hot pink, but a more muted fuschia IRL. I like the octopus and all...the shoes are very unique, but they don't go with enough in my wardrobe. The shoe actually does fit perfectly widthwise but lengthwise it is probably a bit long. Again I have my wide farmer feet to blame.
I like the Miu Miu ones though - they very much say "Lilykind" to me.
I agree with this statement. Although I do also like the octopus shoes bec. they are so unique. I think you can make them both work somehow. But eh, you could ebay them as others suggested if you're not in love. BTW, I know exactly what you mean about DSW and the yellow stickers. I went at lunch today to exchange a pair for a friend and I came home with um, an extra pair for me -- yellow pointy-toed BCBG flats. AND, they are holding a pair of fabulous Steve Madden heels bec. I couldn't allow myself to purchase them today. Perhaps tomorrow. I really think I'll get a lot of wear out of the yellow ones though. I saw them when I was looking for my SS present and they were still there 2 weeks later so they were meant for me (seeking justification here). I told my BF and he said that I was not allowed anymore lunchtime shopping excursions! LOL
