*really search out cool pieces by emerging designers. of late i've become so bored with a lot of the stuff that i see in stores that's mass produced, so this year i'm really going to focus on acquiring great pieces. especially since i've got basics covered.
*in the same vein, shop at new stores. i kind of have a set shopping pattern, and i want to branch out of that and really explore, especially since i live in nyc.
*upgrade my shoes. started doing this a bit last summer, and really makes a difference.
-Slowly break away from flip flops. I'm going to try to buy sandals that are more sophisticated---it's so easy for me to just throw on a pair of flips but if I had nice flats I could just as easily wear those and step up my whole outfit.
-Buy better quality bags. Not necessarily "designer," but just nice leather and good quality with somewhat classic styling.
