I finally checked out the Clothes Mentor store that opened about 20 minutes from my house.  I was pleasantly suprised.  It was well organized and had a good selection of brands.  The clothes were in really good condition too.  I had to spend time and do some digging, but I got a really good deal so it was worth it.

I found a teal button down shirt from Express (they actually fit me without a gaping button at the chest) for $8 and a charcoal Theory Sweater (silk & cashmere blend) for, get this, $10!  It's in "like new" condition and I am so extremely happy with it.

I also hit up the mall to check out a Jo Malone perfume and ended up buying a black draped neck top from the GAP (clearance so it isn't on their site) and a slouchy v-neck sweater in navy from Ann Taylor (also not on their site.  I seem to have a knack.)

We went outlet shopping last weekend for my SIL's birthday.  I usually never have any luck, but this year I did find a skirt I liked at the Banana Republic Store (of course it was the only thing there that wasn't on sale. )  It's something like the one below, only with a gumetal colored geometric pattern on it.

Also took advantage of the Sephora 20% off and got a refill for my primer and a new blush.

I got a couple of random gifts at Marshall's - a ravioli tray for my cousin's housewarming and stainless steel salad tongs for MIL because they're so much nicer on the table than the plastic ones. I bought a set for myself too. Then I bought myself Two Tart bras on clearance that I did not try on first because they were only $4 and $5, and if they aren't comfortable it's definitely no great loss; a Kitchenaid spoonula because I go through spoonulas like it's my job; and a cute vintage-look wire basket with red metal handles to use as an indestructible but attractive dog toy container. In fact I have an actual vintage basket that's super similar for newspapers to be recycled.

I hit up some Black Friday sales. Bought some gifts for others and 1 or 2 things may have fallen in the bag for me too.

Ann Taylor had 40% off reguralr prices and 25% off clearance (and much better pricing in store than on line.)  The only thing I bought for myself to keep now is the blue blouse, everything else is for someone to give me for Christmas.  For once, my mother isn't going to be hounding me for gift ideas.  I'm relishing being the "good" kid while it lasts.wink

212302569905588253_4swldI3t_b.jpg212302569905588251_R22txWD5_b.jpgThese remind me of those Equipment blouses.

212302569905588277_OdlZS39r_b.jpgI needed a LBD and this one fit me perfectly.  It hits me right at the knee, so I may get it shortened to the length in the photo.  Any one have opinions either way about the length?

212302569905588319_lifKrI1L_b.jpgOrange cardi for Spring

212302569905588335_IYt2GoSv_b.jpgSteel blue cardi

212302569905588333_y7PYZmFb_b.jpg a few t-shirts like these

The Limited had 50% off regular items (I bought these for me to wear now too.)

212302569905588354_r6gE0bGF_b.jpg this lace tank looks so much better in person.  It has a shape on me.  It looks ill fitting on the model.

212302569905588366_O6ODGW4K_b.jpgI love the color and it looks great with the lace tank and a black cardi.

For one of my SILs

212302569905583941_E99tUmQX_b.jpg Bottle Guard Neoprene Wine Protectors.  It keeps your bottles safe when traveling (she always is nervous about bring back bottles from her vacations)

For the youngest brother who has eczema on his arms and legs.  The associate at the store also has it and told me she uses the scrub and the shea butter and shower cream to help manage her's. Seeing as how my brother scrubbed his elbows bloody a few months ago, I'm hoping he'll try using these products instead.

hemp-hand-protector_l.jpgfor my mom who asked me to find something for her dry hands.

And a Fossil wallet that my mom picked out for herself

A not very successful holiday run at Target netted two clearance shirts for DH (he asked for hooded long-sleeved tees so I found one, plus I was attracted to a western-ish plaid shirt), and clear mascara and a polka dot tank for me.

I'm so unmotivated to shop for anyone besides myself. Bleeech.

I've bought all but 2 Christmas presents and I've bought gifts for the 2 December birthdays I am celebrating. So, I won't post all that stuff here. But, today I found a beautiful pair of silver earrings for my mom for her birthday, on sale from a local shop! And, I recenlt boughtmyself some cute satin pinstripe pajamas and a Missoni scarf (thanks, Hautelook!) to wear this winter. Otherwise, it's the usual stuff for the family.
