Animals (not just the prints) seem to be poping up everywhere. I've seen them mainly on sweaters, t-shirts & blouses paired with structures almost business-like clothes (pencil skirts & tailored pants.) I know that Kate Bosworth wore one (an owl) with a highwaist pencil skirt earlier this year. I've spotted versions in H&M and other stores too. But I just can't get behind this look. It feels too cutesy to me. Like you're trying too hard to be unique. What do you think?
I kind of like(d) the J Crew French hen sweater, but as a vegan I'd wear it as a "yay, chickens are adorable, don't eat them!" thing. I would find it weird if someone who ate chicken wore a chicken sweater.
Hmmm...ok I'm on the fence. I'm not digging the big centralized singular animal on a solid background (80's childhood revisited?) but I rather enjoy the small print patterns made up of animals that seem to be cropping up on blouses everywhere.

Ditto this. Seems childish. I don't want my fashion to be ironic and I can't pass as a hipster. I do like more subtle prints though.
I love owls and would wear one on a sweater. I also love that hen sweater but I don't think I could wear it (I do eat chicken & coincidentally, that is part of the reason I find it weird). F21 has a bunny sweater that is so flipping adorable I almost bought it. Almost. If there were a child version I'd immediately buy it for my daughter. I don't know, I feel like my judgment is clouded since having a baby girl, as in, I kind of like it when we match. I hope I don't make a lot of fashion faux pas because of this.
On a similar note, I do like the shirts/sweaters that have animal print/silhouettes all over. Jcrew has some, and F21 is doing a version (they call them ditsy ).
