Some replacement shoes for DH, who tripped and tore the toe of his black Payless "dress shoes." (It's hard for him to find wide vegan shoes, so Payless is about it for non-athletic shoes.)
At Target, deodorant, lens stuff, a dog toy, face wax strips, and a red drape-front tee for $6 that I didn't try on.
I have the smaller satchel by this company in dark brown. I wanted something a little bigger to hold more for camping, hikes, walking trips with the kids and stuff. So I got the messenger
Some stuff for me a tons for the kids (I'll spare you)

I don't think I posted this yet but - I bought a scooter a couple weeks ago! It's a Genuine Buddy 125. I was pretty set on a motorcycle for a while but I came around and test-drove a scooter and....it was so. much. fun. Not in love with the color, but I found it for a steal on craigslist so...
Related: all my leather boots are knee-high and too hot for summer, but I still wanted leather shoes that covered my ankles for riding (I've been riding in my hiking boots, which look kind of silly when I actually get off the scooter and start walking around the world). Just ordered these. They are much more red in the pics on onlineshoes.com, but I couldn't get post their pic here.

I haven't been shopping in ages but I definitely needed these. Really comfortable, and they make my stumpy legs look good!

I love those!
So I've been looking for a new hobby and have decided to try home brewing. The craft beer scene in Chicago is pretty exciting right now. I've always loved learning about wine & spirits and really like that beer making is something that I can experience hands on. My youngest brother and I took a class Saturday AM and bought the nessessary equipment to give it a try. We are going to brew our 1st batch next Saturday. Wish us luck!
My friend has a genuine buddy scooter and she loves it! Have fun on it this summer! I am looking at getting one, too, but haven't really had time to shop around (motorcycle or scooter)

Boots, congrats on your new camera! I saw a really good groupon type deal for a one-day DSLR class in Chicago for a really good price. I considered taking it. If I run into it again, I will let you know.

Vanessa- Thanks! Let me know. I always miss those Groupon things. My brother bought the same camera for my SIL and they are taking a Groupon class in the next few weeks (probably the same one?) I started messing around with it last weekend. I think I'm in love (is it wrong to love a lens?)
Kelly- Congrats on the Scooter! I like the color. And the nice thing about silver and light blue vehicles is that they don't show dirt as easily. Less maintenance in the long run.
I swear sometimes Macy's pays you to buy things. I got this large stockpot to replace our old one which is being used to make batches of dog food. It was about $21 after sale and coupons. It got better reviews than some that are twice the price and more.
And I got two of these, one for each mom, kind of random but they're cheap and pretty
