Fun Tees?
Permalink Closed

Apparently since I moved to Portland, I really do dream of the 90's. I'm in a much more casual job here so I can wear jeans and all I want to wear are fun jeans, blazer, heels outfits!

I have the jeans, blazer, and heels covered but obviously need something to go under the blazer. I used to be able to go to Urban Outfitters or Delias for fun tee shirts but they seem to just have stupid sayings and old football teams as the design. Threadless is always a good bet but for some reason I feel like I've tried their stuff before and it doesn't fit right. But I could be just imagining that.

Whatever happened to the pretty, fun designs? You know, a big zebra head or a pretty rainbow of flowers. I'll even take something with colorful stripes or polka dots. I just want it to be fun!

Can anybody point me in the right direction? I'm not really concerned with color or design and it could be long or short sleeves, I'm just really frustrated I can't seem to find this type of stuff.

Have you tried Etsy yet? There are some cute screen print t-shirts on there. The only problem would be returning them if they don't fit properly, of course.

When I googled "cute t-shirts for women" Cafepress.com came up first. I've seen ads for their stuff in the back of US magazine (and other places.) They have some cute stuff and would probably be easier to return the shirts if they don't fit right.

I feel like F21 has a lot of fun ones, but of course it's kind of crappy quality a lot of times.

Have you looked at Threadless lately? Their normal t-shirts are printed on American Apparel and they fit me kind of goofy too, but they have some "Threadless Select" that have different cuts, like V-neck and stuff. I haven't tried many, but I have a Threadless Select tank that I like.

I also think Fab.com has had some cool t-shirts lately, so maybe start watching that site if you aren't already?

Snorg Tees have some cute ones but I can't vouch for the fit.
Did you know Threadless doesn't use AA tees anymore? The fit has definitely changed from a year or two ago.

Many a day at the office I wear jeans + blazer, but I try to not wear a t-shirt under. Instead I wear solid colored knit tops or tanks, which I generally find at Target or Marshall's/Ross for $15 and under, sometimes even thrift stores. Sort of the "better than a tee" look. After a few seasons I replace as they look worn or I can no longer disguise the salad dressing stains. Then I wear them around the house and hope nobody drops by.

Really?!?! How is the fit, is it better? I don't mind form-fitting as long as it's not super tight and the longer the better.

These are not all t-shirt places, but a few are. Might be good resources for unique, beautiful, designy, fun tees (plus other stuff!)

I love NOTCOT.
