My tailor just called and said there is nothing she can do ... the seams in my TR Joeys will be somewhat "off" line if she hems the jeans with the original bottoms still on.
Did you get yours back yet? If so, how do they look?
Should I take the jeans somewhere else or risk it??
I haven't gotten mine back yet - I was actually going to call today but I know it usually takes a few weeks on my jeans. She stays busy but does good work. I told her to call me with any problems and haven't gotten a call yet..... so hopefully that's a good sign. I'm not sure what to tell you - could you call around and see if any other local tailors have ever done these jeans??
Well, actually we have a few local boutiques that send a lot of customers to her (including Moxy). She even told me herself that she has done a ton of TR jeans and never had a complaint.
She called me today (I dropped the jeans off about a week ago) to warn me that the seam will be off as it has been with all the TR jeans she does.
I just can't believe that none of the customers care about that.
Now I am going to check out everyone I see in the city with TRs on!
Well, do you think it'd be that noticable?? Maybe ask to see a pair she's done before if she has a client willing to let you look at them. If you cannot find anyone else in your area, what about a dept. store that sales TR - maybe there alteration dept. would have more experience with getting the seam correct???
