Hi ladies! I should probably be worrying more about what dress I should wear in 2 weeks for when I get married in court BUT for some reason looking for a dress for the ball seems more fun! ;)
My fiancees Marine ball will be November 5th and I have been thinking about looking around for a red dress. I dont want black or blue and I want it to be long and maybe wear some silver heels...or whatever might look better in November. It should be pretty cold by then but then again we are almost to October and the high in San Antonio is still 95+!
Any ideas on what I should look for and stay away from??
By the way my budget is below $200 and I prefer if I could go and try it on rather than ordering it online

I am 5'7 and pretty slim, sleeves dont matter although I might prefer a halter style or sleeveless more. True red also...but if another dress is seen with another color I wouldn't mind considering it.
I really like the 1st and 3rd ones. See those have sleeves so I really dont know what I'm looking for lol! I think I would like to see something with some sort of a design like rhinestones or lace also.
Thanks so much girls but change of plans, we just found out today he is being sent out next Monday so that means no ball and a wedding a lot faster! Ahhhhh :/
It is very stressful juggling that plus still having to make time to study for my exams but it will work out. :)
So after we found out about his orders I went and looked for a dress right away and the only white dress that seemed to be available in every store was at Macy's. Everything else was colored or to frou frou! And hey it was clearanced at $20 minus my $15 gift card I must say it worked out perfectly!
My dress is white, knee length, and with silver on the top part starting right below my breast. I do need advice on shoes now. Should I do nude colored, navy blue, or black? Or any other options? Jewelry....pearls or silver?
I'm trying to get the picture of my dress posted up. I only have it on my phone right now.....and by the way I'm getting married tomorrow morning so going to find the shoes after class today!

I agree, I think metallic is the way to go! Or maybe a bright blue, to be your something blue - if you're into/OK with a color pop taking some of the attention.
