aren't they beautiful? I have half-heartedly kept my eyes open for some cool cowboy boots, and when alb posted about buying some old gringo's, I became obsessed. I fell in love with these, and they were way more than I wanted to spend! I think they will look great with jeans, cords, and long dresses/skirts.

D, I love those. They are so bright and happy! I think they will look great with all the items you mentioned. I like that they are lower than a lot of cowboy boots.
Ceiling fan in the sun room (where I spend most my time) died over the weekend (yea! it was a super old one that was in the house when we bought it, so I was excited to have an excuse to replace it!)
As unattractive as ceiling fans can be, I have learned to love having one in the sun room. I live in an old house with radiant heat/cast iron radiators, and have no air conditioning. The ceiling fan has been a life saver!
Anyway, this is the one we bought to replace it -- I think it's going to look pretty cool:

I actually really love ceiling fans...they remind me of lazy summers down south, where all I had to do was my chores and then I could read as much as I wanted, drinking lemonade, during summer vacations.
I got some new shoes (see post in general chat) and a new flight suit. Unfortunately, they don't go together very well! :)
SUPER BUMMED! can't even get my heel past the top of the shaft! they're going back :(
Awwww. Man! That sucks. Can you try a size up and wear inserts to make them fit?
I must confess. I also purchased these (Old Gringo Julian were $570, got them for $342):
The only size available was size 10 (I'm a size 9-10 depending on the maker), so I took the risk because they were such a great price. I just got them, and they fit perfectly! However, I am in LOVE with the embroidery on the Sora style. I just re-ordered them in a 10. Fingers crossed I can get my foot in them!
Between these boots and my frye cowboy boots, I should be set with a cowboy boot wardrobe for the rest of my life

UPDATE! Just got them a size up and I got them on with no problems! They're a little roomier than I would like, but they only look a tiny bit larger. Yay

I have felt top-shy lately. I stopped by my friendly neighborhood Marshall's and got two; one's a dark gray (not heather) "better than a tee" for layering at work, brand unknown to me. The other is that tiered ruffle look (but not puffy), is sleeveless and v-neck, black with a white tattoo-ish print. It is interesting because when the ruffles move so does the print, kind of. It's by Carole Little, whom I didn't know even existed anymore.
I can't find the pic on Anthro, but I used my b-day discount to get a navy striped blazer similar to this one.
I also go these at BR. I think the sweater will extend the season of my dark blue strapless dress (I'm picturing it with black tights and booties) as well as my grey and my red pencil skirts.
And this as a Fall alternative to my brown leather jacket.
