I need help yet again :)

I have been invited to a country club wedding in nj in august. The ceremony (church) starts at 4pm on a friday afternoon, with the reception to follow at a nearby country club- 6pm - 11pm. I am going as a +1- so I do not have the invitation- but i do know that it is not formal/black tie.....will find out what the invite says from my buddy.

Any dress suggestions? I am pear shaped- would like to wear a dress with a fuller skirt and/or covering the knees.....but haven't found anything yet. Tea length would also work, i think. (50s sillouettes work best on me)

any recs? everything is so short these days!
