hi!  i am in a wedding in San Diego at the end of April.  The bride instructed us that we can choose ANY dress we want... no color restrictions, no length requirements... nothing!  so i found (and fell in love with) this dress from JCrew however it is not due back in stock until April 25- 5 days before the wedding and 3 days before i leave for said wedding.

has anyone seen a dress similiar (and preferably a little less expensive- this dress is listed at $350 i was hoping to stay under $250)... i'm struggling to find something like this...

Banana Republic has a shorter version, in a silk/linen (85%/20%) blend. $98. Only comes in these 2 colors, but in tall, regular and petite. Has optional straps.

First off, your bride rocks.  biggrin  I'm betting any one that laid back with her bridemaids will have a really fun wedding.

I love that 1st one - navy strapless with long skirt. BR in shorter version don't look as festive for a wedding. +jewerly - it'll be gorgeous. Also that variation of it with more ruffles in the center front.

I love Susana Monaco's dresses.  They're very comfortable.  You can dress them up or down too!

the susana monaco dress is sweet... i'll take a look for that one this weekend. i'm also going to stop in jcrew and see if they can tell me if that ship date is firm or could move up as well...

thanks for your help!!! if you see any others- let me know. i tried googling the type of dress as well but didn't come up with anything i really liked. :(
