Maybe a month long shopping thread would be easier than weekly?
I've been putting in long hours at work and just generally having a crappy few months so I treated myself to a book off Amazon. I know, slow down, big spender!
It was just announced as the One Book, One Chicago selection this morning. It looks entertaining.
I also bought my neice-to-be (or I guess nephew, but I'm 100% sure it'll be a girl) her first book. It's a childhood favorite of my brothers and myself.
Month long shopping thread? Haha. I've shopped so little over the past year that it hadn't even registered to post and share the things i've bought. I had a $10 coupon at the Gap. I grabbed this tank and a tangerine lip balm for $1 and change.
D- is that first piece a ring or a brooch? It's gorgeous!
GD- love the new bag! I really like the textures with the vibrant color.
Ditto - nice bag GD!
Boots - That is a brooch/pendant. It has a bale on the back and it's huge -- 2"x1.5". The large diamond I estimate to be over a carat. It's 18k gold and enamel with silver and rose cut diamonds. They belonged to the seller's grandmother who came over from Italy, as did the hand-worked 18k filigree and pearl brooch. The pearl brooch is 3"x2" and if I'm not mistaken, it is actually a hair ornament. These items date from the late 1700's, but I'm not sure the seller is aware of that. She is sharing some more items with me before she lists them online tonight - I'm excited!

Dicks sporting goods is having a 1/2 off winter jackets sale, so I picked up hubby a new snowboarding jacket. It's black with blue and white pinstripes, but it looks a little greenish in the photo. I thought $80 for a Burton coat was a pretty good deal. Too bad he'll have to wait awhile to wear it.
Can't find a better picture, it appears to only be available at L&T http://www.lordandtaylor.com/eng/womensapparel-Skirts-High_Waisted_Pencil_Skirt_-lordandtaylor/160591
D- i love the jewelry you picked up! and the lamps...
took advantage of Nordstrom triple points this weekend (and used some of my bonus from work!)
bought this cute little vest from Ted Baker
the best part is the back though
and FINALLY after 5 years of hemming and hawwing around (b/c i was having issues with the fact that a wallet could cost as much as a bag) i bought myself a zippy wallet
