I bought a cute lace skirt and I'm looking for multiple ways to style it. It's black, straight cut, hits just above the knee. Thanks for the suggestions!
I'd have to see it IRL but for casual stuff I wear mine (old Ann Taylor, black lace over nude overlay, a-line style, just above the knee) with either a white beater or black cap-sleeve tee; either flat black patent t-straps, black ballet flats, or red heeled MJs. With that I sometimes wear a fitted denim jacket (more like a blazer, really) or a camel crewneck classic cardigan that works well with the nude lining.
I have also worn a nice white button-front shirt with the sleeves rolled up and sometimes a chain belt on top of that.
I have a fine-knit, fitted but not tight, scoop-neck black pullover sweater that looks good with it. That can take it to cocktail wear almost.
I like the idea of tights and flat boots, like the ones Boots posted, a suede riding boot, that kind of thing. I'm not sure about anything too heavy/thick on top. Lace is so delicate that it's tough not to look top-heavy.
Anyway I'm looking forward to other replies because I tend to wear mine with a lot of basics, I guess!
I'll have to try it with a more cozy sweater. I can only seem to come up with really simple ideas. I want to try something a little more unexpected. Although I'm sure I will play with all the simple ideas too. Can always change it up with a wide belt or layer necklaces.
