I have problems finding boots slim enough for my bird leg calves. Yesterday I was walking through Dillards and I spied these. I like them very much, but the only thing that concerns me a little is the lacing up the back at the bottom. It's cute, but do you think it looks too "lady of the evening-ish (to put it tactfully)? Here they are in black (which I would need), but they also come in eggplant. Here is alink to the page is you want better details: http://www.amazon.com/BCBGirls-Womens-Easton-Knee-High-Boot/dp/B003EV77J4

Since the lacing doesn't go all the way up, I think you're cleared from looking like a lady of the evening. Just, of course, make sure they're comfortable. good luck w/the calf issue. I deal with it too.

I know what you mean about finding boots for slim legs. I think those boots look fine. I'm not in love with the idea of laces on boots (front or back) but that's just my personal preference. They don't look hooker-ish to me at all. I think the shape is very sleek.
I'm not a fan of stretch uppers because it usually looks cheap to me. But if you've seen them IRL, and you like them, then they're worth a try.
Ditto. The lacing combined with the zig zag stitch and stretch PVC is not reading "classic" to me. If I were you, I'd troll some forums seeking narrow calf boots or measure yourself and just seek out books with a smaller circumference.
