I've searched for years for a small bag option that would still hold everything I want. I finally caved and bought one at TJMaxx (as opposed to the thrift store). This Tignanello cross body, but at about 1/3 the price and in a nice dusty blue. It's got enough space for camera/phone/keys, etc...and the back has a zipper compartment with money and multi-pocket card holders. Awesome! http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=413116&CategoryID=46017
But more importantly, I hit up Itsapinkthing's Etsy shop and couldn't resist her gorgeous wares! I bought:
So pretty! Now I just need tips/hints/ideas on how to store them properly!
Miss Lonelyhearts and The Day of the Locust by Nathanael West Someone Like You by Roald Dahl Home is the Sailor by Jorge Amado The Autocrat of the Breakfast Table by Oliver Wendell Holmes The Charterhouse of Parma by Stendhal Two Girls, Fat and Thin by Mary Gaitskill
These new gym shoes and a new driver for DH. Dick's sporting goods was having a sale, and he found a Nike driver that is usually $450 marked down to $150. I told him I'd buy him a new putter for our anniversary, but we couldn't pass this deal by. So, he got a driver instead of a putter.

The Roald Dahl book is a great pic! I absolutely love Dahl's adult stories. Most of his books have really fantastic illustrations as well.

KaffeeKlatsch - regarding storage of the feather headbands - maybe you could buy a styrofoam ball that will fit in the roundest part of the head band and put all three headbands around it - kwim? you could then take a purse dust bag or other cloth bag and put the ball of headbands in it...

Nothing here yet. I'm eying up a few things at Madewell, but haven't pull the trigger. I love the headbands from itsapinkthing and have also been eying those up. I always feel weird in headbands, though.

Off subject, but did you read The Irregulars? It's a nonfiction book about Dahl's time as a spy during WWII here in America. Great book.
They had a few left in dark denim and in black. I think it runs pretty true to size - I'd try to get it in store if you can, since it's still $15 or something online and in store it was less than $5.

Of course - duh! Sorry! Anyway, here's the link to the black version, since I cannot for the life of me find the dark denim one again.

P.S. They're also having a 20% off sale right now too - the coupon code is SAVE20 for the US site and TREAT20 for the UK site (which is sometimes worth ordering off of - some things are cheaper on the UK site even with international shipping). Of course the codes just came out this morning, a few days AFTER I dropped a huge wad of cash on their site (ordered a few other sets I didn't put in my post)
