Military, minimalist, aviator, vintage 50s/60s/Mad Men, etc.  Are you tapping into any of the fall trends this year, and if so what are you getting?

I keep thinking about this post. And that I have absolutely no answer to it. I am really struggling this fall. I don't know if I'm not ready to think about it or if I'm just not seeing pieces I'm crazy about. I have one pair of boots picked out, and that's it!

I know! Me too.  I'm actually focusing on some items I have in my closet, like military inspired jackets I've had for years, and a plaid shirt I bought last year.  I caved on the "jeggings" and bought a pair, other than that, I bought some new uggs and some covered wedge boots.  I also splurged on a missoni cardigan.  I am liking the skinny cargo pants and may buy a pair of those as well.

I have some vintage dresses and chunky vintage jewelry, so that trend is taken care of if I'm in the mood to dress to that trend.

So I guess it's me primarily using pieces I have that nod to current trends, but putting my own spin on it.  I don't want to look too literal anyway.

I'd like to pick up an aviator jacket when I find the right one


I like the ladylike looks, but I'd like to always keep a little bit of an edge so it doesn't get tooo prissy



and I'm hoping to find the right motorcycle-ish boots - the key is that I have to find some that I actually feel like I can pull off!
