With all the rain here I realized that I needed a cute canvas summer bag instead of my nice leather one for the weekends. Plus it's big enough to carry water, a book and everything else I need!
Plus, because you can't leave Target with only the items you actually went there to get...

Oops... I was watching Twilight last night and noticed (again) how much I like Bella's bedding... so I ordered it from Target. Shh, don't tell anyone!
So then, I of course had to buy purple sheets to match, b/c all my sheets are pink or some variation of pink.
I got a great deal on these at Kohl's.
Also:
I've been wanting a salad spinner, and lo and behold, they had the mini OXO one at TJMaxx.
The water coming out of my filter pitcher lately tastes awful, even with a new filter. I saw this Homedics one in a magazine, and I found it super cheap (like 1/3 the price) on QVC. Woohoo!

two items from a lazy seller who didn't research what she was selling.
large vintage 14k, persian turquoise and pearl pendant/brooch for only $18
early to mid 19c 18k french assay marked spray brooch for $45. The stones could be paste, but even so, it's worth considerably more than $45. If by any chance the stones are not paste, then we're talking a major windfall... Too bad for her that she didn't research her estate sale finds before she listed them. I can wear this as a brooch, pendant, or hair ornament. If they are diamonds, which I kind of doubt because of the cut and stone refraction in the picture, I may considering selling it at auction, as it could sell for $5-7,000. Looking forward to receiving it.
I get really nervous when I find things like this on the net. I don't want to act to anxious about the purchase as to not tip the seller off. There is also the risk that another interested buyer I've beaten to the punch tips them off to the value -- I've actually had that happen before, and the seller tried to back out of the transaction.

D- That spray brooch is gorgeous. It reminds me something my grandmother would wear "for best." (I mean that in a good, vintage, 1940's chic sort of way.) I really like the idea of wearing as a hair pin.
