Hello! So I am headed to Arizona for a roadtrip in late June, the catch is that I just had a baby 2 weeks ago, and will be traveling with my hubby and my other two little boys as well. I have no idea what to wear in the car!! Being a size 16 while postpartum isn't fun and really makes finding cute comfy car outfits hard...any ideas? We will be in the car for 2 full days, staying in hotels for nights, I live in Montana where the weather is average..but it will get hotter as we get closer! Just need some comfortable but cute outfit choices and you guys rock at that

I usually wear comfy knit dresses so they are not all wrinkled when I get out at rest stops and sandals that I can easily slip off. I hope you have a great time!
I'd also do a knit dress, maybe a surplice-top style to make it easier to breasfeed, if you are. You could always add leggings and a cardi overtop and remove them if you get too warm.
If a dress doesn't sound good, try a jersy skirt (the foldover style from Old Navy is good for post-baby tummies, I've heard) and a simple tank and cardi.

I'd wear shorts and t-shirts, but I'm personally not comfortable traveling in a dress or skirt. Look in your closet and find some lightweight and comfortable pieces that can be mixed into your vacation outfits when you get to Arizona. I think layering is the key. I always get chilly in an air conditioned car for a length of time so I usually have a light cardi with me to throw on. It might help give you some coverage too if you need to breast feed on the go.
Remember to bring something cute to throw on once you get to the motel. You'll feel so much better changing into something new after sitting in the car all day.
Also, put in sun screen even if you guys stay in the car all day! I've actually gotten burns on my left arm and both thighs from driving from Chicago to Des Moines.
I love that idea of a jersey maxi skirt - I have one and it really is comfy. That and flat sandals or ballet flats, beater tanks, and a pashimina for covering up if you need to?
