I like how the beige would be more subtle and versatile by just adding visual texture and shape to lighter color shirts and tops, vs. the contrast of the black over a top.
I also think the black would be better suited for dresses or a tucked in shirt with high-waisted skirt or pants...
What with and how were you planning on wearing it?

I agree with everything that D said, I would personally get more use out of the beige belt. I also find the beige a little more rich looking. If you get it I would love to hear a review.
I can think of items in my closet that would work with either color (hence my predicament.) I was originally looking at the beige to go with a dark blue dress that I like to belt. I also have a plain brown shirt dress that I'd love to "rich-en" up a bit. I can see it working with a green sweater wrap sweater and a pink boyfriend cardi. I think I'd get a lot of use out of it for the Spring & Summer. Now the black, I could use it all year round. And it's easier to make fake leather look better in black than a light color.
I am leaning towards the beige, but I think I want to see it in person. The Macy's closest to me doesn't have much of a selection and I won't be able to make to the large Macy's store downtown until after April 15 (when I finally get a day off!) So I guess I have some time to make up some Spring out fits in my head with both colors.
Jackie- I definitely review it for you when I see it in person.
