I've still been keeping my eyes peeled for a nice leather jacket, hoping I could get a good deal coming into spring. I found this one, on sale for $180. Thoughts? Are the flap pockets sort of weird?
I think I'm defnitely set on a brown jacket now instead of black, and it's making my search that much harder ....
A&F (I know!) has this one which is awesome, but it's $350 -

I think that the flap pockets would bother me personally. You wouldn't be able to use them for anything. You can't put your hands in them. If you put anything in them it would bulk up the jacket and the whole idea of a jacket like that is to keep it streamlined.
I know! I can't even set foot in that store because the freaking street out front stinks so bad, and I've never purchased anything there before because, well, what an asshole-type place! I absolutely cannot pay $350 for any jacket, let alone one from A&f. But, the preeeeettttyyyyyy! It's calling meeeeeee!
So. What do I do now? Do they regularly put items like this on sale? Release codes? Do I walk away and try to find something from a less ridiculous company?
ETA: Okay so I guess they never do codes (of course they don't!) so I'd be stuck waiting for a sale. And 50% off would still be $170. And the tag would have to come out immediately.

I hurry past the one by mine as quickly as possible. It just reeks. A few months ago it had a shirtless teenage male model (at least I'm assuming it wasn't just some random guy) standing outside the door. Um, OK. It's January in Chicago. And this makes sense how?
But it is a pretty pretty jacket. Of course, it could just photograph well and be total crap in person. If you repeat that to yourself a few times, it might make it easier to find another jacket.
Ugh the second is divine and IMO a better investment. Can you find something similar for less?
No, that's the problem! There are a few that I like the cut of, but they only come in black (or are faux leather). All the rest are in the $400 - $1200 range so far, that's why I started scouring random places. My three criteria are that it be brown, that it be real leather, and that it be biker-esque - can you find something similar for less?! I would be forever grateful!

I love the style of the second one you posted, D, but I'm afraid the lighter color would get dirty easily. I'm (really) bad at babying stuff, so I was kinda planning on get a dark colored jacket and pass any wear off as 'patina' . That's a pretty awesome price though ....

oh I know, I'm the same way! I totally knew why you were going for the darker color -- I would too. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you ;)
