Help!! Ebayer wont respond to emails concerning refund...
Permalink Closed

So i purchased a balenciaga bag off ebay (bad move, i know) about a month ago. It turned out to be fake. The ebayer had stated on her listing that she will refund the money if not satisfied. I emailed her ranting about how the bag was not authentic and demanded a refund. She agreed and told me to send back the bag which i did about 2-3 weeks ago. A week after i sent it i emailed her and she repsoneded saying that she is "processing my refund dilligently" . I continued to email her for the past week or so asking about my refund and i am getting no response. What am i to do??? I am out 400 of my own savings! I emailed ebay already asking them for help! Is there any hope for me???

ugh i bought this bag as a birthday gift to myself. i am so fuckin pissed :(

Thanks for any advice you can give me

Have you requested her contact information?  If you do that, you can get her phone number and give her a call.  If you click on help at the top of the page and then type "request contact information" in the search, it will tell you how to get it.  Hope this helps!

Wildflower has the right idea!  I've done this numerous times and received the contact information.  Sometimes I have even called the seller to talk to them "in person".  A lot of the time they are just so embarrassed that someone actually called and will issue a refund promptly.  That's the way I would go.

Good luck...let us know what happens and what you decide to do!

I filed a dispute and they finally replied. ALong with that i requested the contact information from ebay which they gave me. But im scared to call. Im not too great at confrontation especially with someone i do not know. The seller was incredibly rude when responding to me. After i explained why i wanted to return the bag he replied with ok. No more elaborate than that. Ughhh..this person better give me back my money...hes such a jerk. Im crossing my fingers that ill get a check in the mail this/next week.

Sigh~

I would get on the phone.  $400 is a lot of money and I wouldn't back down from it like these people are hoping you will.  I would tell them I wanted them to send me a money order (not a check in case it bounces) with a tracking number via priority mail so you can track it.  Also since you have their name and address and phone number you can threaten legal action against them.  They will probably back down then and refund your money.

don't give up, sometimes I accidentally leave my fax machine on at home, it's possible the number is not strictly a fax #.

hahahha sounds like a great idea, your my hero!!! Thanks

But ivbe tried countless number of times. THe first time I typed out everything iwas going to say, and i felt pumped and ready to let them have it. But of course no one picks up and all i get is that fax machine noise thing. That has happened every other time as well...im going to call the Mail Fraud postal inspection service tommrow or monday. Hopefully something can be done. What would isay to the police if were to go to them? WOrst comes to worst i can get back at least 175 under ebays buyer protection.

Sorry for being a nuisance..i just dont know who else to go to! thanks
