white pants - avoiding tragedy?

haha, excuse the melodramatic topic

I love the look of white pants, but I'm sooo scared that 5 minutes after I put them on, I will have sat in something gross, spilled something on them... Any advice for avoiding that kind of thing? I'm tempted to carry around a sweater or something that I could sit on, but that would look so silly..

Maybe I can help, I have an 11mth old, and have learned the hard way to be prepared for disaster!  I carry those tiny packs for shout wipes that you can rub on a stain & comes off like a charm.  You can also carry a backup pair in your car or wear a tunic to cover up your bum.

Shout wipes are the best!!! We used them when I worked in retail, and they got rid of everything, from lipstick, foundation, to things we couldn't identify.

Ha! I am wearing white pants today and I doubt that I will make it through the day without spilling on them. Shout wipes are great! Also, the little  bottle of stain remover that comes with Dryel is awesome, and it doesn't leave the "water ring" you sometimes get with stain removers.


Also, I would never buy expensive white pants or ones that couldn't be washed in the machine...or else I'd spend a fortune in dry cleaning.

I think you just hit the most important point!!  I cant find any white pants that I like on me that are not expensive so I havent bought any because I dont see them lasting as long as normal jeans.

ditto on the shout wipes!


also, i found that express' editor white pants are great!  you have to remove all the pockets, but you have to do that with almost all white pants...
