I've been eyeing that dress too... It's one of those things where it looks cute on the model but it'd probably look ridiculous on me. The ruffles remind me of the dresses I wore when I was little (which is probably a bad thing). Maybe if you wore a shrug or cardi over it would tone down the ruffle-y-ness.
I think the shrug might not work, because the ruffles would be too bulky to wear anything over it. I'm not crazy about the dress. It's not the ruffles that bother me, but I don't really like that green color and print.
It looks comfortable, but where would you wear it? I feel like it's in that "too dressy for casual but too casual for dressy" category. And it would make my butt look gigantic.
from the front i thought cute, but the back reminds me of the dresses my mother used to have me wear in the summertime when i was 3 and 4 years old. i would pass...
I love it, but I think it is something that has to be tried on to know for sure if it looks too little girly or not. And it definately needs some sexy grown up heels and maybe some layered wooden/beaded necklaces and bangles.
Hm. It doesn't seem to suit your elegant style (as reference in the Thread Style)...IMO it is a little too "Old South" even for Atlanta. Sorry...I see you as more urban and refined than that dress would (IMO) make you look.
FWIW
