this is a follow-up to my other post about cocktail dresses. I've decided to order two, and send one back (unless i just fall in ove with both, hehe). i've decided to get no. 7 in the other post, b/c i really like it. i know it's not the most popular choice but i think it will look really good on and it's sort of a safe choice. for my second option i thought i'd get one of these, which i also love (may be even more). so, here are the other options, please cast your votes:
1) LOVE this one so much (may be my favorite), but my size is OOS online everywhere so i have to order a size up and get it altered if they don't have it at a b&m store:
5) love the look of this with the black tights - different and cool. didn't think i'd wear tights to an event like this (a ball) and it may be too casual but i would in this case, and i think the dress is gorgeous. other potential prob is i won't wear red lipstick and the dress is white and i'm really pale:
6) i almost left this one out. might be too boring but i do like it:
please let me know your favorite and what you think is the best choice for me (based on what you know about me)- i have to order it within the next few hours. thanks in advance everyone!

I love #1!!!!! My only hesitation is the altering. It seems to need to be fitted to make that shape work. Do you know a good tailor who can do it fast?
My second choice would be #6. With the detailing, I don't think it boring at all.
I also like #4 and think the silver would look great against pale skin. Sort of ethereal.
Thanks, Boots! I fell in love with no. 1 as well, but my only hope is that nm or bergdorf's has it in my size. otherwise i'm not sure. i do know of a good tailor - but have never used him before. i like the dress so much i just might take a chance on him! still like the others too, so i'm waiting to hear what others think - while waiting for the SAs to call back!

Ditto - #1 is my first choice, #6 is my second.

thanks, pink - just saw your post. i am sure the navy dvf dress is stunning, but i am not sure how i feel about the lace. i'm not really a lace person in general so i am sort of on the fence. it sucks not being able to try anything on!

thanks that helps. would you get # 1, even if you had to size up though? i'm not counting on it being available, although i'm hoping it is.
thanks, fairywings! that is a gorgeous dress! unfort. it won't work for me b/c i am so very pale that the color would wash me out, and i am a little too busty for the neckline. someone should get it though.
thanks everyone for the opinions. keep em coming!
i've located no. 1 in my size, but not no. 6 (calling about that now).
I like number one a lot too, but still don't think a sheath style is as fancy or formal for an occasion where there will be a lot of long gowns. However, that's a really nice dress. I'm sure you'd find a reason to wear it!
I love both new styles, very chic & beautiful, the colors are great! The third, the one that was most popular in ladies' choices, that navy, circle skirt - not my favourite, I think it'd work on a 16 year old...I don't know, to me it seems that even a model on the pic looks awkward in it.
