hmmm maybe i'll order it and take pictures and post... and then you guys can tell me what you think of it...
i really liked it as a top (with jeans) and as a skirt... but wasn't too crazy about it as a dress... plus i have these adorable wedges with a pink flower that would be so cute with it.... and since it worked as a skirt, i could wear it for both work and casual... plus if you break down the cost ($150 /3 way to wear it= $50 per "piece") its really quite a good deal....
My husband calls these baby doll tops "Tammy's trailer park trash top". He thinks they are the most unflattering fashion trend to come women's way in years.
I kind of agree. I think you need to be a super super model to pull them off. If you like it, find a cheaper version like at foreever 21.
LOL Sunshinegirl! I personally would never wear those types of tops because my chest is too large....IMO you really need to be like a small B to pull these off and if you're not...stay away!
i am a small B/large A chest Lilykind- so i don't need to worry about that!
man, everyone on ST has been so wishywashy about my two recent picks (this and paige denim) that it makes me think my style eye has been demoted! what is wrong with me?????????
i'll have to think it over some more. i guess the thing that i love about these tops is that they are very forgiving... as in, i go to a BBQ and down two hotdogs and a plate of potato salad and no one is going to notice my expanding waistline as the night goes on....
I agree about the eating thing. I have kind of always liked babydoll tops (I used to wear these in high school and college because I liked the style).
My friend's husband, who is 26, thinks that the tops look like you're just trying to hide your big butt or something. (Neither my friend or I have big butts. I am a size 2.) I asked my boyfriend about it and he says he thinks the tops are cute.
I say if you like it, wear it!!! I strongly believe that people look best in clothes that they personally love and feel comfortable in. Don't you?
I mean, otherwise, what are you going to do? Buy something else you're not that excited about? You won't feel as good wearing it, thus you won't look as good as you potentially could.
I am not a huge fan of it, and after a (admittedly cursory) review of the fall runway stuff, it doesn't seem like the loose top/tunic/dress style is going to last much longer, so I wouldn't pay $150 for it. But that's just me; if it's perfectly you, get it!

Lucky you!
BTW, I saw this IRL and I think that it's worth it...especially since it sounds like you'd look amazing in it. Plus it wouldn't wrinkle so you could travel with it any everything.
