Okay, so I went from wearing a lot of suits and dresses almost everyday for my former career to now wearing a uniform that consists basically of khaki cargo pants and a navy blue polo shirt or a flight suit.
On my days off, I have been just bumming it, too. I haven't been on this site in a while because I haven't had the time or money to shop, but now that things have slowed down, I have started looking at clothes and shopping again, and, now, I am back on here, seeing what you guys have been doing.
I want to start "dressing" up again on my non working days. I miss wearing clothes that don't have some kind of cargo pocket or oil stain on them
Show me what you guys are going to have as your go-to outfits for the upcoming cold weather! (please???)
I don't have any ideas from what I am doing this year, but I'll swing through polyvore and post some favorite sets that feature some fresh fall ideas. I'll need a couple days.
Glad to see you back on ST!

Layering pieces that can be combined or de-combined...? Lightweight knits? I'm a sucker for a drapey/cowly neck, if the fabric is clingy. The idea would be to swap out some of the meh items like t-shirts or hoodies for something more interesting.
Cardigans are such an easy way to look more dressed up. The ruffled thing isn't me, though, I like them to be relatively tailored.
Also if you don't have a great white shirt, don't hesitate.
A cute trenchy jacket (or moto, or other casual but substantial style) is a good add if it's not too cold already where you are.
And straight/slim jeans...I'm reaching for black way more than blue lately.
Small touches, like accessories and shoes, can make a real difference too. You might be able to buy a few pieces that can step up the items you already have.
They look completely pulled together to me and it's because of the long chains and the belt. Otherwise it would be just a tee shirt and jeans. I can see this with a pair of cute flats or a pair of heeled boots.
A jacket or blazer pulls a look together too and can be worn a lot of different ways.
