So I have this event next week (my sister's deb ball). I was originally wearing the white ABS dress I posted pictures of (the debs don't wear white at this ball, they wear pastels so I wouldn't look like I was trying to blend in). Well my mom called today and said the society section of the newspaper wants to a feature on my family and how this is the 3rd daughter of this generation to make her debut (super lame, I know). So there's going to be a fluffy little feature and a picture of all of us.
While I liked my white dress, I wasn't 100% sold on it. Now that I'm going to be photographed for the paper (where people I grew up with and their parents will see) I wanted something better. So I went to the mall in a frenzy and found this relatively inexpensive Jessica McClintock bridesmaid dress. I think it's sexier than the white and I like the color. Plus, I've seen the ABS dress at several department stores and I have a funny feeling there will be other people wearing it.
Now I need silver shoes and jewelry. For shoes, silver high heels with no ankle straps. For jewelry, big dramatic earrings. Seen anything???
Also, do you think it's a smart move to wear the blue or should I stick with the white??? Here's my "old" dress and here's my new
This is the bag I'm carrying. Minus the tacky strap
I dont have the time or energy to think about accessories right now, but OMG the blue dress is gorgeous on you! So slimming! As long as the color is good (not too close to those pastels) I would def. go with that one.
And I'm sorry but where are you from that people are still doing the whole debut thing? I thought that died like 50 years ago. (And I def. don't mean to offend by that, I'm actually a teensy bit jealous.)

LOL. Atlanta... It's a modern city that is also really backwards and old fashion in some ways.
Love, LOVE that blue on you!! Fabulous with your skin and dark hair. And I like the bag too...sorry to not be any help on shoes / earrings, but just wanted to tell you how great you look.

The blue is beautiful, but your figure looks fantastic in both. I think that handbag will look great with the blue dress. I am from Alabama and I love to read about the deb balls in the Birmingham and Montgomery newspapers. That white dress is lovely and it would make a great wedding dress, I think.
Well, it looks like the blue wins. Everyone's compliments made my otherwise rotten day.
Apparently there are NO strapy silver evening heels at any Tampa-area retailers that aren't a. made of the see-through stripper plastic stuff or b. encrusted in gaudy "diamonds" or c. have ankle straps. I'm hitting a few boutiques with my aunt tomorrow so maybe I'll find something.
