While in Burlington, VT, I went to Ecco (a great boutique on Church Street), and bought a hunter green Susana Monaco skirt and a pair of Hila earrings.

While in Montreal, I went to a Lush and got some solid shampoo. It was fun to be in a Lush store with all signage in French.

A while ago I got a pretty Calvin Klein top at Goodwill and I stalked the matching skirt on ebay - got that today for $20 - so the skirt, and the outfit, can be seen in this little slideshow

At Salvation Army, I got a black 3/4 sleeve t-shirt(ish) top with a split neckline and black embroidery around the neckline. Kind of Tori Burch tunic-style, but not boxy. It's what I call the "nicer than a tee" look, good for the office with slacks but equally fine with jeans. This was brand new.

Also found a black heavy cotton blazer, kind of safari/military in style, hits below the hip. I think it will be good as a casual jacket when the weather is cooler. It has interesting red piping inside. I liked it because it's an homage to the oversized blazer look, without being overtly "on trend." Also new.

And, a set of four 4x6 photo frames, and an antique framed botanical print. I'm covering the walls in our downstairs powder room with various floral prints in white-painted frames, kind of shabby chic, I guess. It's amazing how an ugly frame can be totally transformed with a coat of paint. $11 for the total haul.

Well I bit the built and bought a strapless bra for a dress I want to wear for my birthday dinner at the end of the month. So far this supposed bargain Target dress LBD has cost me $40 for the dress, $40 for alterations and now $70 for a strapless bra because the straps on the dress start too low for all of the bras I already own. I am wearing the hell of this dress now. Theatre, holidays, grocery store....

thanks, aurora! yes, that's it. i am really hoping that the bag is magenta (like the one i saw irl about 3 mos ago) vs. red or it's going back . does anyone know if that bag even comes in red (i'm hoping not)? i did a very extensive google search and cannot tell what colors it comes in, other than magenta, light grey, and dark grey. it's the m by mj patent faridah bag. if anyone knows, pls enlighten me!!
