I've been kind of wanting a gold bag lately, so I thought I might indulge the impluse for not too much $.  What do you think of this?  Is it tacky, is a gold bag in general tacky?

I like it. The shape, the muted colour...
An old friend of mine from highschool has a similiar one...I never thought it looked tacky on her.

I think its kinda cool but I know what you mean about risking looking tacky bc gold can def look tacky! Is it a muted, sort of pearly metallic? It looks like a subtle gold so I think you could pull it off with minimal accessories.

It looks like a subtle gold color to me. I kind of like it. I think that if the rest of your outfit is classic and streamlined, it could really work. I'm thinking something like
