i'd have to agree with drew and say that they are pretty tts across the board, even with the different brands they carry. i've never had to size up, but i've had my tailor take in the waistband on a few pair... but i'm a big fat nerd about things fitting me perfectly... it was less than an inch.
i've never worn express, so i can't be of much help to you there.
Thanks drew and hotcocoa. According to the chart I am a 6. I am still regretting not buying those pretty pants last fall that had the embroidered bluebird on the pocket, but I was so paranoid about them not fitting-also, I had spent all my money (the real reason I didn't get them).
I know the pants you are talking about. It killed me to return them, but they fit really weird on me. I can't remember why, but I know I didn't have them tailored because for some reason I didn't think it would be possible (prob. would have interfered with styling/detail).
Don't feel so bad, better will come along next fall.

Were they green tweed? If so...I tried on those pants when they had been knocked down to $34.95 in a 2 and I was so mad that they didn't fit (they pulled around the crotch area and they didn't look very alterable)!
I wear a 2 in Express Correspondents because I like a tighter fit, but I can wear a 4 as well. I wear a 4 in Anthro pants. The only time I ever have to size up to a 6 for Anthro pants is when they're from a brand Nanette Lepore or Plenty by Tracy Reese.

They were brown, but if they had a little pocket with a bird on them, then they are the same. Really, a size 2 for $34.95? Geez Louise, if I lived by an Anthro I would so be stalking those sale racks. I bet you could have easily scooped them up at that price and then listed them on Ebay for minimum $50 (they were $148 originally so I'm sure they would go up from there) and make a tidy profit.

I would have ebayed them if I was actually on Ebay. I've stayed away because I know that if I registered I would be a massive sick addict.
