i've a rather crude question ... i've been eyeing gap swimwear, but they are unpadded and i find that my nipples do show through .. am i supposed to wear something underneath like those adhesives??

Loco Boutique, see this page: http://www.locoboutique.com/LocoCat.asp?pCat=ACCESS&pSubcat=OTHERS  has insert paddings for various shapes bikini tops you can sew in.  The round and the triangle are padded.  I got one for a white bikini before and it helped.
