I would play up the pastely colors in the dress, I can't quite make them out but maybe a pink, or blue would be different:

I'd go with a strappy sandal in something nude or gold (I can't tell from the picture what colors are in the dress) If there is a great color in the embroidery on the dress, I'd try to get a shoe in a similar color.

major mall near by with most of the usual suspects- macys, nordstrom, nine west, aldo, naturalizer, etc etc - then theres marshalls/tj maxx, filenes basement, dsw etc

i'm a size 8.5/9 depending on the cut

I ended up getting the jessica simpson "oscar" pump in dove (dark beige/nude) patent leather from dsw for around $60.

I was leaning toward a metallic sandal- but the round toe of this pump looked cute with the style of the dress, so i went for it. The wedding was last saturday and I got lots of compliments, which was unexpected. thanks a bunch for your help all!
