I really want a pair but I've heard that water gets in them and jeans blead onto the leather. I want to wear them without worring about weather ruining the leather. Also, I found them for $209, do you think thats the cheapest I can get them? TIA!!
I don't have them but I really want them!! I asked about them not too long ago and got some great responses from everyone here!! I don't know how to post a link but if you go to the search feature and type in 'frye boot owners' it will bring up the thread. It will also show other threads with frye boots mentioned. And 209 sounds like a good price but I know several people here got them cheaper.
I wear my Fryes in the rain and if it actually snowed in Los Angeles, I'd probably wear them too. I find that they keep rain out really well, almost as well as rainboots. Plus I have tons of dark wash jeans and they have never bled onto my Fryes. I wish I could say the same for my Uggs. I got mine for $125 by being a hard bargainer at a specialty boot shop in LA. HTH!

London Boots on Melrose and I want to say the cross street is Martel. I know for sure it's between Fairtfax and La Brea. My Fryes are saddle and rain does stain the leather a bit, but to me Fryes look best when they're a bit weathered. You couldn't destroy them even if you tried. HTH!
I think these are the same boots.. If so, they have them on sale at UO for $159.99.. man now I want them too. Lilykind (or anyone else), how does their sizing run? I usually wear a 7.5.. should I get an 8 or a 7?

I usually wear a 7.5 as well (sometimes a 7, sometimes 8) and my Fryes are a 7
I just called London Boots and I think they might have them in the color I want in my size. They told me that they beat prices! Any barganing tips?? I'm going to there after work.

No problem!
This is what I did.
1. Told them I was on a budget and gave a price I knew they wouldn't give me ($100)
2. They gave me a price (I think $160)
3. I just kept saying I couldn't fork over that kind of money and kept offering lower prices (looking wistfully at the shoes). This exchange persisted for a couple of minutes before they gave me $129.
4. I bargained down all the way to the cash register, looking like I was gonna leave any second to get to $125.
It's a bit hardballish, but at a mom and pop place like that, they will generally accomodate. I also promised to tell people about them too.
